Sex Offender Pleads Guilty for Incidents at Perimeter Mall

In 2012, Kennedy Perez Miranda made contact with a woman, who was changing her baby's diaper, and forced a teenage girl into a dressing room at American Eagle Outfitters at the Dunwoody mall.

 

On Monday, Kennedy Perez Miranda pleaded guilty to several charges including sexual battery during an incident at Perimeter Mall, according to an 11 Alive report.

Miranda was sentenced, Monday, to 18 months in jail, but was credited with 12 months time served, the story said. He will be registered as a sex offender and receive psycho-sexual treatment.

He also faces charges in Gwinnett County.

The 11 Alive report said Miranda engaged in several inappropriate acts in June 2012. At Perimeter Mall, he made contact with a woman, who was changing her baby’s diaper, and forced a teenage girl into a dressing room at American Eagle Outfitters.

In Norcross, he allegedly stopped his car beside a babysitter with children in her care and masturbated, and approached another woman for sex, the story said.

In a , a young Alpharetta woman shopping at the Barnes and Noble book store at The Forum was allededly grabbed by Miranda who attempted to drag her from the store.

According to a Gwinnett Police report, the 20-year-old woman was in the magazine section of the store when he grabbed her by the arm saying, "You're the one, come with me."

The woman began yelling for help and witnesses intervened and pushed him away.
