Recent Crimes in Dunwoody

Dunwoody Police are investigating a burglary at Lacota Apartments on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

  • Dunwoody detectives arrested an 18-year-old male for Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault on Abercorn Avenue near Perimeter Center East.  The suspect allegedly committed a pedestrian robbery while attempting to steal a cell phone from a male victim.
  • Police are investigating a burglary at Lacota Apartments on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. An unknown person broke into the maintenance shop and stole their golf cart. Anyone with information regarding this incident or similar incidents is asked to contact the Dunwoody Police Department 678-382-6900.
  • A woman at Perimeter Mall said she was scammed out of $200 by two unknown females that offered her a chance to profit from a $8,500 bank deposit scheme.
  • A car break-in was reported at Atlanta Journal-Constitution offices on Perimeter Center Parkway. The suspect gained entry by breaking out the side window on the car and took an empty laptop bag from the vehicle that was left in plain sight. 
  • A car break-in was reported at the Olive Garden on Ashford Dunwoody Road. The suspect gained entry to the vehicle by punching a hole near the door handle. A laptop and a power cord was taken from inside the vehicle.
  • Police arrested an adult male for possession of marijuana in apartment community parking lot on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. During the search of his car, police found a .45 caliber firearm.
