Recent Crimes in Dunwoody

The following was provided by Dunwoody Police.

 

  • Dunwoody detectives arrested a 27 year old female for Theft by Deception, Forgery and Elder Abuse. She has been implicated with misappropriating financial funds from the accounts of four victims over the age of 65, to her personal use. 
  • Detectives have secured a warrant for Ebony Fallon Washington for Theft by Deception. Police say she bought an iPad 4 and returned it and received a refund. The only problem was the box was empty. The suspect  has allegedly been successful with this scam across nine states.
  • Dunwoody Police officers checked a closed down business on Perimeter Center Parkway this week and found a broken window and a subject inside the building sleeping. They took the subject into custody and recovered thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that was stolen from other local businesses. The male subject that was arrested was also wanted in another jurisdiction for shoplifting.
  • An entering auto was reported in the parking lot of the Dunwoody Baptist Church and several items were removed from the vehicle. A suspect was seen and he is reported to be a heavyset black male in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a black jumpsuit. The male was seen getting into a black 4-door vehicle that stopped in the southbound lanes of Ashford Dunwoody Road to pick him up.
