This blotter is a collected from the daily crime reports posted online and crime news releases from the Dunwoody Police Department.

Armed robbery

• An armed robbery was reported last Wednesday night around 8 p.m. on the1600 block of Mount Vernon Road. A man brandishing a handgun robbed a 55-year-old woman. He stole her purse, which had its debit cards, credit cards, checks and keys, along with her reading glasses. The total value of the stolen items was $600.

• An armed robbery was reported early Friday on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway. Police met the victim at a Northside Hospital emergency room. The victim had been attacked with a blunt object and was robbed of $40 cash and one gallon of milk, worth $2.

Burglary

• A 14kt gold ring with an emerald stone was reported stolen from a residence on the 4600 block of Peeler Mill Court Thursday afternoon.

• A residence was reported burglarized on the 4000 block of Dunwoody Park Friday morning. An LG television, a Macbook Pro laptop, an iPad, a diamond ring, hoop earrings, a Samsung phone, shoes and purses from Gucci and Louis Vuitton, alcohol and two Michael Kors watches were reported stolen. The stolen items were valued, altogether, at $9,750.

• A Toshiba laptop battery worth $142 was reported stolen from a residence on the 4200 block of Abercorn Avenue on the morning of May 23.

• A Dell laptop computer worth $600 and a check for $400 were reported stolen from a residence on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway last Wednesday evening.

 

Assault

• A 48-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested on charges of domestic assault for attacking a 72-year-old man on the evening of May 23. The incident occurred on Winding Branch Circle.

 

Vehicle theft

• A black and white 1999 Honda CBR motorcycle was reported stolen from the 12000 block of Madison Drive early on May 23. The bike was valued at $4,000.

• A white 2003 Dodge Ram Truck was reported stolen from the 10300 block of Madison Drive early last Wednesday.

• A green 1992 Honda Accord was reported stolen from the 5200 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road last Wednesday morning.

• A blue 1995 Chevy Tahoe was reported stolen from the 12100 block of Madison Drive last Thursday morning. Also stolen with the vehicle – a Dell laptop, an Apple iPod touch, an iPod Shuffle and a Sony Powershot camera. The vehicle and the items inside were valued altogether at  $2,050.

 

Vehicle break-in

• A leather briefcase and an iPad were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 8200 block of Madison Drive on the afternoon of May 24. The items were valued at $700.

 

Shoplifting

• An 18-year-old Lithonia man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal at $98 Polo shirt from Dillard’s at Perimeter Mall.

• A 21-year-old Stone Mountain man was arrested on May 24 for allegedly trying to steal an Apple iPad care protection plan and a bottle of Moet Champagne from Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pl. on the evening of May 24. The two items were valued at $125.

• A 43-year-old Atlanta woman was arrested on May 24 for allegedly attempting to steal $368.32 worth of jewelry and clothing from Macy’s at Perimeter Mall.

• A 22-year-old Sandy Springs man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly trying to steal $288 in clothing from Bloomingdale’s at Perimeter Mall.

• A 22-year-old Sunnyville, Calif. man was arrested Thursday night for allegedly trying to steal $196 in Big Pony shirts from Bloomingdale’s at Perimeter Mall.

 

Vandalism

• A 2010 Mercedes C350 was reported vandalized on May 23 on the 4700 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road.

 

Trespass

• A 67-year-old Atlanta woman was arrested on charges of trespassing at Dillard’s at Perimeter Mall last Thursday afternoon.
