Police Blotter April 24 - April 30

This blotter is a collected from the daily crime reports posted online and crime news releases from the Dunwoody Police Department.

 Drug Possession

• A 44-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested on charges of cocaine possession and possession of a firearm, among other charges, after he was pulled over on the 6800 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard early Saturday.

Domestic/Child Endangerment

• A Dunwoody couple was arrested last on the night of April 26 after police went to a bar on the 4700 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road in reference to a domestic dispute. When police arrived on scene, they discovered a toddler was injured during the dispute. A 25-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested. The DeKalb County Department of Family and Children Services was called.

Burglary

• A burglary was reported at XL Reinsurance America, 115 Perimeter Center Pl. on the morning of April 25. Six HP laptops worth a total of $7,500 were reported stolen.

• A burglary was reported on the morning of April 25 at Good Cents, 400 Perimeter Center Terrace. Three laptop computers, computer software and an electric razor, worth a combined $1,750, were reported stolen.

• A burglary was reported on the afternoon of April 25 at Pearlnet, 1200 Ashwood Parkway. A Dell laptop and a projector were reported stolen. The total value of the two items was $1,300.

• A burglary was reported on the night of April 26 at the 4800 block of Mill Brook Drive. A glass door was smashed with a hammer, but nothing was reported stolen, according to the police report.

• A Sony Playstation 3 and three games were reported stolen from a home on the 3600 block of Lake Ridge Lane on the night of April 26. The games and gaming system were valued at $650.

• A crystal lamp worth $300 was reported stolen from a home on the 4500 block of Kingsgate Drive Friday afternoon.

• A burglary was reported Saturday night on the 4600 block of Dunwoody Club Drive. Several pieces of jewelry and coins were reported stolen. No value was given for the stolen items.

 

 

Theft

• An Apple iPhone worth $500 was reported stolen April 25 from a person at a restaurant on the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road.

•A wallet was reported stolen from an office on the 5500 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road on the afternoon of April 26.

 

Car Break-ins

• A car was reported broken into on the evening of April 25 on the 4500 block of Olde Perimeter Way. A Motorola computer and a leather case, worth a combined $540, were reported stolen.

• A thief smashed out a vehicle’s window and stole a Northface backpack with a psychology book inside at the 1000 block of Crown Pointe Parkway, according to a report filed on the night of April 25. The book and bag were worth $95, while the window damage cost $200.

• Two IBM laptops, a brief case and a digital recorder, all worth a total of $3,220, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5000 block of Sirron Court last a week ago Wednesday.

• An Apple iPhone was reported stolen a week ago Wednesday from a vehicle parked on the 5500 block of Glenrich Drive. The phone was valued at $400.

• A TomTom GPS, a Garmin GPS, an iPod and an adaptor wire were reported stolen on April 26 from a vehicle parked on the 5500 block of Concord Place. The items were valued at $462.

• A Blackberry phone, $200 cash and a purse were reported stolen on the afternoon of April 26 from a vehicle parked on the 5500 block of Concord Place. The phone and purse were valued at a total of $250.

• A Garmin GPS valued at $200 was reported stolen a week ago Wednesday from a vehicle parked on the 1300 block of Martina Drive.

• A Coach purse and purse, along with $3 cash were reported stolen last Thursday afternoon from a vehicle parked on the 4700 block of North Peachtree Road. The wallet and purse were valued at $250 each.

 

Vehicle theft

• A 2010 Harley-Davidson FLHX was reported stolen early last Thursday around 2 a.m. on the 2100 block of Asbury Drive. The motorcycle was valued at $25,600

 

Shoplifting

• An HP computer was reported stolen from Wal-Mart April 24, the computer was valued at $648.

• A 17-year-old Sandy Springs man was arrested on the evening of April 25 after allegedly trying to steal a Polo baseball cap worth $135 from Dillard’s at Perimeter Mall.

• A 22-year-old Decatur woman was arrested for shoplifting on the night of April 25 after allegedly attempting steal $55.97 in clothing from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 35-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the evening of April 25 for shoplifting at Office Depot, after attempting to steal 130 DVD-Rs, 30 CDRs, a Kodak digital camera and a Kodak digital recorder, worth a total of $480.

• A 19-year-old Sandy Springs man, a 19-year-old Union City woman and an 18-year-old Alpharetta woman were arrested on the afternoon of April 26 for allegedly attempting to steal a pair of Cavi pants and a pair of Levi jeans, worth a total of $81, from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 23-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the afternoon of April 26 for allegedly a pair of Adidas Stan Smith shoes and a pair of jeans from Macy’s in the Perimeter Mall. The shoes and jeans were worth a total of $205.

• A 17-year-old Atlanta girl was arrested last Thursday night after she allegedly attempted to steal $106.75 in jewelry and clothing from Macy’s at Perimeter Mall.

• Two Apple iPhones, worth $600 each, were reported stolen last Thursday afternoon from the Apple Store at Perimeter Mall.

• A 19-year-old Chamblee man was arrested for shoplifting Friday afternoon after he allegedly stole a book bag and jean shorts from Macy’s at Perimeter Mall.

• A 40-year-old college Park man was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly tried to steal an RCA portable DVD player and a Phillips portable DVD player, worth a combined $292, from Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pl.

• A juvenile was arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly attempting to steal $54 in t-shirts and socks from Marshalls, 1131 Hammond Drive.
