Police Blotter April 17 - April 23

This blotter is a collected from the daily crime reports posted online and crime news releases from the Dunwoody Police Department.

Burglary

• An HP laptop worth $700, $400 in cash and a laptop bag were reported stolen last Tuesday afternoon from a residence on the 100 block of Ashford Parkway.

• A burglary was reported Thursday evening at a residence on the10500 block of Madison Drive. Nothing was reported stolen.

• A 30-year-old Doraville man was arrested on Friday for . The burglary was reported on April 13. In that burglary, a 42” flat screen LG television, a leather jacket, two handguns and a shotgun had been stolen, altogether worth around $2,800.

• A burglary was reported on the 1300 block of Wyntercreek Road last Friday night. Nothing was reported stolen in the initial police report.

Car Theft

• A 1996 tan Infiniti J30 was reported stolen last Tuesday morning from the 1800 block of Cotillion Drive

• A 2006 Big Dog K9 motorcycle was reported stolen last Wednesday afternoon on the 2000 block of Asbury Square. The bike’s estimated worth is $30,000.

• A gray 1999 GMC Yukon was reported stolen from the 4300 block of Peachford Circle early Saturday.

 

Shoplifting

• A $300 Sony stereo system was reported stolen a week ago Sunday from Herbalife 4939 Winters Chapel Rd.

• A 19-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested last Monday for allegedly attempting to steal a belt and cologne from Express in the Perimeter Mall. The two items, together, were valued at $75.

• Two juvenile females were cited for shoplifting at Macy’s in the Perimeter Mall last Monday night after they allegedly attempted to steal $165 in clothing.

• A 40-year-old Sandy Springs man was arrested on charges of shoplifting last Tuesday for allegedly attempting to steal a Polo ball cap worth $45 last Tuesday from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A juvenile was arrested on charges of shoplifting early last Wednesday after trying to steal a Polo ball cap worth $30 from Dillard’s at Perimeter Mall.

• A 46-year-old Atlanta woman was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall after she allegedly tried to steal $367 in clothing from the store.

• A 17-year-old Perry, Ga. male was arrested Friday night for allegedly trying to steal $115 in clothing from Bloomingdale’s at the Perimeter Mall.

 

Theft

• An iPhone was reported stolen last Tuesday afternoon from a building on the 500 block of Ashwood Parkway. The phone was valued at $200.

• Two men allegedly ran into a store at Perimeter Mall last Thursday afternoon. One of the men distracted the store employees while the other ran into the back stock area and stole the employee’s wallets.

 

Car Break-ins

• Two laptop computers were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Perimeter Center Parkway last Thursday afternoon. The laptops, both IBM ThinkPads, were worth $1,000 each.

• A MacBook Pro laptop and laptop bag were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Crown Point Parkway last Thursday night. The laptop and bag were valued at $2,100.

• An IBM ThinkPad, a Sprint air card and other computer hardware were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of Perimeter Center West last Thursday night. The total value of the stolen items was $1,350.

• $1,300 in checks and a leather briefcase were reported stolen Thursday night from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Perimeter Center West.

• An Acer laptop and a laptop bag were reported stolen Thursday night from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Olde Perimeter Way. The items were valued at $650.
