Police: Attempted Burglary at Madison Square Apartments

Dunwoody Police units responded and checked the surrounding area for the suspect.

An attempted burglary call was reported at the Madison Square apartment complex on Wednesday night a Dunwoody PD Facebook post said. As one of the tenants was going outside to smoke a cigarette, the resident observed a male suspect by his patio door.

The suspect was observed with his hands on the door, apparently attempting to break into the apartment. When the tenant went to confront the suspect, the suspect fled on foot and an approximate quarter mile chase ensued.

Police units responded and checked the surrounding area for the suspect. A large time lapse prevented K9 from being called out. The tenant/ victim last observed the suspect running behind the southwest corner of the Kroger parking lot. The tenant stopped his pursuit once the suspect ran behind the buildings.
