Nearby Sandy Springs: Police Investigating Saturday Shootings

Sandy Springs Police report they are are working a shooting that occurred about 1:20 p.m., Saturday.

Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose said units responded to a complaint of shots fired at the Colonial Grand Apartment area located on Dunwoody Place west of Roswell Road. 

Approximately twenty minutes later, a Rural/Metro Ambulance, transporting a patient from the Johns Creek area, was flagged down at Glenridge Connector and Peachtree Dunwoody Road by two men in a car that contained a third man who had been shot several times in the leg. Another ambulance responded and transported the victim to Grady Hospital.

The victim's name is being withheld at the present time. The two men in the car are being detained for interviews with investigators. Presently, no charges have been filed. The condition of the victim has not been released.
