Sandy Springs Police, Fire, and DOT Hero were on the scene of a pedestrian fatality, early Saturday morning, on I-285 West at New Northside Drive.
The incident occurred about 4:30 am. Officers believe a man exited a car on the westbound side and was struck by another vehicle, according to Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose. He was dead at the scene.
Three lanes of I-285 were closed for the investigation. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
