"National Night Out" on Tuesday

Dunwoody Police will be at Target mingling with the communtiy from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Dunwoody Police Department is partnering with Target for a National Night Out event on Tuesday.

The event will be the 29th anniversary of a unique crime and drug prevention that is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch.

It's the 4th year that the Dnwoody Police Department has participated in the program.

The event is to generate support for local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police partnerships, heighten crime-prevention awareness, and send a message that neighborhoods are organized.

This year, year the Super Target in Perimeter will be offering food and dessert in their parking lot from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the department will have special equipment on display.

The department will interact with kids from the community and have photos taken with them.
