Missing Dunwoody Man with Dementia Reunited with Family

An 89-year-old Dunwoody man with dementia was reported missing Wednesday. Police say he has been reunited with his family and is in good health.

An elderly Dunwoody man who suffers from dementia has been found unharmed and has been reunited with his family, police say, after he was reported missing Wednesday.

Emanuel Isaacs, 89, who lives with his wife in their single-family home, was reported missing about 10 a.m. Wednesday. Dunwoody Police said Isaacs was last seen leaving the 5100 block of Holland Court in a white 2007 Cadillac DTS bearing GA tag (DP4TEN).

A Mattie’s Call was initiated at the time.

Dunwoody Police spokesman Timothy Fecht said Thursday morning that Isaacs was located near Lakeside High School off Briarcliff Road. A family member picked him up.

Detectives are trying to clarify how the family found Isaacs.

Authorities believed Isaacs may have been traveling toward the Athens area.
