Man Killed in Dunwoody Robbery Advertised as Escort

Roberto Calderon-Guzman, killed in a June shooting, was a popular drag queen who Dunwoody Police say was contacted through backpage.com as a transsexual escort.

A man killed in a Dunwoody apartment in June was solicited as an escort by the suspected killer through backpage.com, an internet personals website, and the suspect may be linked to other crimes, according to Dunwoody Police.

Roberto Calderon-Guzman, 28, was shot by Christopher Williams, 20, from Stone Mountain, at an apartment in the Peachtree Place complex near Winters Chapel Road and I-285, according to police
. Calderon-Guzman was later taken to Northside Hospital were he was pronounced dead.

A popular gay-lifestyle blog, Project Q, reported that Calderon-Guzman was well-known drag performer "Noxy Cassandra," who performed at a club on Buford Highway that hosts a gay night as well as a Latin club in Buckhead that hosts a similar event.Β Β

Calderon-Guzman was contacted by Williams through an ad for transsexual escorts, according to Dunwoody Police.

Police are investigating a link between the shooting of Calderon-Guzman and another person who was robbed after being contacted for an advertisement for a transsexual escort on backpage.com, police say. Williams contacted Calderon-Guzman on a cell phone he allegedly stole from that victim, Dunwoody police said.

The cell phone from the first robbery victim helped link the two crimes, according to police.
