Man Found Shot Dead in Northside Hospital Women's Center Parking Deck

Sandy Springs Police say the male victim was found in a car, shot several times.

Sandy Springs Police are investigating a shooting/homicide in the 1001 block of Johnson Ferry Road around 6:40 p.m., Thursday. A black male in his 40’s was found in a car that was parked in the second level parking deck off Hollis Cobb Drive adjacent to the Northside Hospital Women’s Center.

The victim had been shot multiple times. He was taken to nearby Northside Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin. A motive for the shooting has not been established at this time.

Witnesses indicated they saw at least one suspect running from the location towards Johnson Ferry Road. At this time there is no connection to the shooting and the Northside Hospital or Women’s Center.
