Grogan Sworn in as VP of Police Chiefs Association

The Dunwoody Police Chief was sworn in last week as the new fourth vice president for the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police.

Dunwoody Police Chief Billy Grogan became the new fourth vice president for the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported

Grogan was sworn in last week.

According to its website, the GACP evaluates police standards and offers continuing education for administrators. The organization is based in Atlanta.

Grogan has been in law enforcement for more than 30 years. Before he became Dunwoody’s first police chief, Grogan worked for the Marietta Police Department from 1981 until his retirement in 2008.
