Dunwoody Police Explorer Headed to Marine Training

Dunwoody's robust Police Explorers program is in the news again. Explorer Kevin Lopez, is being recognized by his Dunwoody PD mentors for his "superb" leadership qualities.
Lopez is headed to Marine Recruit Training - no joke by any standard. He leaves soon, police say. When he graduates and returns he will be a Marine Reservist, police officials say. He'll be serving his country and putting his life on the line.
Lopez plans to attend the police academy at Georgia Piedmont Tech College - their law enforcement academy, of course. Dunwoody PD says they are sending him off with warm regards and best wishes on his upcoming training.
