Dunwoody Police Chief Billy Grogan to Represent Georgia Abroad

Grogan will be a part of the final leg of the torch run for the 2013 Special Olympics in South Korea.

Dunwoody Police Chief Billy Grogan has been selected to run the final leg of a torch run at the 2013 Special Olympic Games in South Korea.

Grogran will be representing Georgia law enforcement organizations when he goes to PyeongChang, Korea to participate in the run.

The Dunwoody Police Department has been operating for close to 4 years and has raised nearly $51,300 for Special Olympics Georgia.

Grogan has participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for 10 years and is a past director of the Georgia Law Enforcement Torch Run program, which happens every two years.

Law enforcement is the biggest supporter of Special Olympics, raising $42.6 million for Special Olympics Programs around the world.

Grogan will travel to Korea on January 20, 2013 to begin runing the torch, which raises awareness for Special Olympics and the Winter Games. He'll return at the beginning of February.
