Dunwoody Police Blotter Nov. 13-19: Burglaries, Shoplifting and Car Thefts

Burglary

• A 42” Phillips television, an HP laptop, a coffee table and a Dell laptop were reported stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Ashford Gables Drive on the in the early hours of Nov. 13. The stolen items were valued at $3,200.

• A Vizio flat screen television, a Gateway laptop computer and a Sony DVD player were reported stolen from a residence on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway on the night of Nov. 13. The stolen items were valued at $900.

• A burglary was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Peachford Circle on the afternoon of Nov. 15. A Samsung 32” TV, a Gateway computer, an Apple iPod Nano, a Playstation PSP game system and other items were reported stolen. The stolen items were valued at $1,380.

• A Playstation 3 and a 46” Toshiba flat screen television were reported stolen from a residence on the 6700 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard Wednesday evening. The stolen items were valued at $1,200. A window broken during the burglary was valued at $150.

• An attempted burglary was reported at a residence on the 5100 block of Burlingame Drive on Thursday.

• An Apple computer, a Playstation 3, a copy the Call of Duty 3 Playstation game, cash, earrings and headphones were reported stolen from a residence on the 5400 block of Azalea Gardens Drive Thursday evening. The stolen items were valued at $3,340.

• A burglary was reported on the 100 block of Peachford Circle on the evening of Nov. 15.

 

Shoplifting

• A 22-year-old Fort Valley woman was arrested on the afternoon of Nov. 13 for allegedly trying to steal a pair of Rock Rival jeans worth $178 from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• An 18-year-old Atlanta man and a juvenile were arrested on the evening of Nov. 13 for allegedly trying to steal $35 in electronics from Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pl.

• A 20-year-old Brookhaven-area woman was arrested for allegedly trying to steal a Macbook, Express cologne, earrings and an iPhone from stores at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 17-year-old Sandy Springs girl and a 21-year-old Sandy Springs woman were arrested Wednesday evening for allegedly trying to steal $762 in Polo clothing from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• Juveniles were arrested for allegedly stealing a Nike women’s running jacket worth $55 from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall Wednesday evening.

• Three Blackberry phones were reported stolen from the AT&T store, 136 Perimeter Center W., Wednesday night. The phones were valued at $1,550.

• A 37-year-old Atlanta man was arrested Thursday afternoon for allegedly trying to steal $45 in miscellaneous items from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 38-year-old College Park man was arrested on Friday morning for allegedly trying to steal $184.31 in Gillette shaving razors from Wal-Mart, 4725 Ashford Dunwoody Rd.

• A 41-year-old Duluth man was arrested Friday morning for allegedly trying to steal $329.99 in electronic devices from Best Buy, 1201 Hammond Dr.

• Two juveniles were arrested for allegedly trying to steal $392 worth of clothing from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall Friday night.

• Two 19-year-old Atlanta men were arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly trying to steal six pairs of shoes worth a total of $379.94 from Marshall’s, 1100 Hammond Drive.

• Two 17-year-old Atlanta women were arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly trying to steal several shirts from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall. The stolen items were valued at $149.50.

• A purse worth $100 was reported stolen Saturday afternoon from TJ Maxx, 134 Perimeter Center W.

• An iPhone 3Gs worth $250 was reported stolen from a store at the Perimeter Mall Saturday afternoon.

• A juvenile was arrested on the night of Nov. 15 for allegedly trying to steal shoes and pants from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall. The items were valued at $156.50.

• Several juveniles were arrested for allegedly trying to steal $78 worth of boxers, socks and t-shirts from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall on the afternoon of Nov. 13.

 

Mugging

• A strong-arm street robbery was reported on the night of Nov. 14 on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway.

 

Car theft

• A silver 2007 Lexus EX350 worth $20,000 was reported stolen on the afternoon of Nov. 15 on the 4400 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road.

• A blue 2004 Dodge Ram truck valued at $10,000 was reported stolen Thursday afternoon on the 100 block of Perimeter Center West. Along with the truck, several power tools, cash and identification cards were reported stolen. The stolen items were valued at $1,550.

 

Theft

• A 36-year-old Dallas, Ga. man was arrested on charges of theft by taking in the early hours of Nov. 14 on the 4600 block of Winters Chapel Road. A Dunwoody police officer saw the man suspiciously driving from behind closed businesses on Winters Chapel Road and was stopped.

• A Dell Latitude laptop worth $2,500 was reported stolen from a business on the 100 block of Perimeter Center West on the afternoon of Nov. 14.

• A gas meter was reported stolen from a residence on the 4500 block of East Kings Point Circle on the afternoon of Nov. 15.

• Two money orders worth $170 and $500 respectively were reported stolen on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway on Wednesday night.

• A Goodman air conditioner valued at $1,200 was reported stolen from a residence on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway Thursday afternoon.

 

Car break-ins

• A Compaq laptop, medication, military diplomas, medical records, a GED diploma and a laptop bag were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4700 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road on the afternoon of Nov. 14. The stolen items were valued at $455.

• A Dell laptop, a Mont Blanc ink pen and a Tumi laptop bag were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Ashwood Parkway on the night of Nov. 14. The stolen items were valued at $2,400.

• An Apple laptop, a Targus laptop bag, an iOmega external hard drive and an AT&T Ethernet card were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Ashwood Parkway on the night of Nov. 14. The stolen items were valued at $2,800.

• Three laptop computers, an Amazon Kindle, a Blackberry phone, a pair of Kate Spade sunglasses and cash were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the night of Nov. 15. The stolen items were valued at $6,129.

• A Toshiba laptop worth $1,000 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1200 block of Ashford Crossing on the night of Nov. 15.

• A Kenneth Cole laptop bag worth $100 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4700 Ashford Dunwoody Road on the night of Nov. 15.

 

Domestic

• A domestic assault with a handgun was reported Thursday night on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway.

 

Gun possession

• A 30-year-old Stone Mountain man was arrested early Friday on 285 at Chamblee Dunwoody Road after he was pulled over. The man was arrested for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana as well as a Ruger 9mm handgun, several rounds and a 12-round 9mm magazine.

 

Soliciting

• A 31-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested for allegedly begging and soliciting alms by accosting Friday afternoon on the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road.

 

Vandalism

• Three tires were reported slashed on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Perimeter Center West on the afternoon on Nov. 15.
