Dunwoody Police Blotter: Jan. 22-28 - Burglaries, Theft, Drug Arrest

Burglary

• A burglary was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Perimeter Center East in the early hours of Jan. 22.  Two diamond necklaces, several rings, several other pieces of jewelry, a sterling silver utensil set, a Blackberry phone and a Compaq computer were reported stolen. The stolen items were valued at $32,376.

• A burglary was reported at a residence at the 2400 block of Dunwoody Crossing on the night of Jan. 24.  Several Apple computer products, a television, electronics, a Rolex watch, jewelry and several gift cards were reported stolen. The stolen items were valued at $18,785.

• Power and hand tools valued at a total of $1,000 were reported stolen from a building at the 4000 block of Dunwoody Park on the morning of Jan. 25.

• A burglary was reported at the 2200 block of Dunwoody Crossing on the morning of Jan. 25. Nothing was reported stolen in the initial police report.

• A burglary was reported at a residence at the 5400 block of Winters Chapel Road on the morning of Jan. 25. A Murray push lawnmower, a power saw, an electric drill, a jigsaw, a socket wrench set and 300 VHS tapes were reported stolen. The total estimated value of the stolen items was $1,135.

• An attempted burglary was reported at building at the Ashwood Park Apartments, 2000 Asbury Sq., on the afternoon of Jan. 25. A door worth $1,000 was reported vandalized.

• An attempted burglary was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Perimeter Center Place on the evening of Jan. 26.

• An attempted burglary was reported at a residence on the 7100 block of Madison Drive on the night of Jan. 26.

 

Drug Arrest

• A 22-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested on a felony heroin possession charge on Jan. 28 on the 4600 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road.

 

Shoplifting

• A 56-year-old Norcross man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal clothing from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall valued at $108.64 on the morning of Jan. 22.

• An Apple iPhone valued at $650 was reported stolen from the Apple store at the Perimeter Mall on the evening of Jan. 23.

• Lotion valued at a total of $39.98 was reported stolen from Marshalls, 1131 Hammond Dr., on the evening of Jan. 23.

• A 21-year-old Buckhead woman was arrested on the night of Jan. 24 for allegedly trying to steal $169.67 in home goods from Target, 100 Perimeter Ctr. Pl.

• An arrest warrant was obtained for a 27-year-old Cape Coral man who allegedly stole a Jensen CD player and a Coke, together valued at $15.79, from Target, 100 Perimeter Ctr. Pl.

• A 26-year-old Atlanta man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal Philips headphones, a Barbie doll, and candy from Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pl. on the afternoon of Jan. 25. The stolen items were valued at $36.17.

• A necklace, one shoe and a shirt were reported stolen from White House Black Market at the Perimeter Mall on the night of Jan. 25. The stolen items were valued at $161.

 

Car Break-ins

• A Coach wallet with credit and identification cards was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5000 block of Tilly Mill Road on the morning of Jan. 23. The stolen items were valued at $156.

• A purse and wallet with credit cards were reported stolen form a vehicle parked on the 5000 block of Tilly Mill road on the morning of Jan. 23. The stolen items were valued at $204.

• A Gucci briefcase valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5000 block of Tilly Mill Road on the morning of Jan. 23.

• A Franklin Covey purse, credit cards, an iPad, identification documents and cash were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1400 block of Mount Vernon Road on the afternoon of Jan. 23.

• A backpack, IBM computer, wallet, credit cards and identification cards were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4700 block of Andalusia Trail on the morning of Jan. 25.

• A purse with credit cards, identification cards and $700 in cash was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Sudbury Road on the morning of Jan. 25.

• A purse with $10 cash and credit cards was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4600 block of Dunover Circle on the morning of Jan. 25.

• A brown canvas shooting bag and Palm Pilot were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 2600 block of Wood Hollow Drive on the morning of Jan. 25. The stolen items were valued at a total of $400.

• A Magellan GPS valued at $550 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4400 block of Shelborne Drive on the morning of Jan. 25.

 

Car Theft

• A 1996 Mercury Marquis was reported stolen from the 4300 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the night of Jan. 25.

• A silver 2001 Honda CBR motorcycle was reported stolen from the 300 block of Perimeter Center North on the afternoon of Jan. 26.

 

Theft

• An iPad, wireless keyboard, iPad case, a wireless card and cash were reported stolen from an office on the 100 block of Ravinia Drive on the morning of Jan. 23. The stole items were valued at $1,035.

• Jewelry valued at $50 was reported stolen from a building on the 5300 block of Tilly Mill Road on the afternoon of Jan. 23.

• A Mitsubishi projector worth $10,000 was reported stolen from Vintyx, a business at 400 Perimeter Center Terr. on the afternoon of Jan. 24.

 

Theft by deception

• A 32-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on a charge of theft by deception on Jan. 26 on the 1100 block of Hammond Dr.
