Dunwoody Police Blotter Dec. 4-10: Cocaine Arrests, Shoplifting, Burglaries

Cocaine arrests

• Quincy Allen White, 40, of Atlanta and Chad Robert Lindaman,44, of Atlanta were arrested in the early hours of Dec. 7, for allegedly possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute, a felony. The men had a pack of cigarettes with 11 small plastic bags inside, which field-tested for cocaine, according to police reports. The bags all had a ‘Superman’ symbol on them, police said.

The men were pulled over on the 1300 block of Mt. Vernon Road.

Police also found a plastic straw with cocaine powder residue on it. Lindaman, the driver of the vehicle, was charged with driving while license suspended.

Shoplifting

• A 19-year-old Stockbridge woman was arrested on the afternoon of Dec. 4 for allegedly trying to steal $986.36 in clothing from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 17-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the morning of Dec. 5 for allegedly trying to steal a pair of UGG boots worth $225 from Nordstrom at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 38-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the afternoon of Dec. 5 for allegedly trying to steal three suits worth a total of $3,385 from Nordstrom at the Perimeter Mall.

• Two Apple iPhones worth a total of $1,148 were reported stolen from the Apple Store at the Perimeter Mall on the morning of Dec. 5.

• A theft was reported at Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pl. on the night of Dec. 5. Comforter sets valued at $160 were reported stolen.

• An 18-year-old Decatur man was arrested on the afternoon of Dec. 6 for allegedly trying to steal $27 in Hanes boxers and t-shirts from Target, 100 Perimeter Ctr. Pl.

• Clothing worth a total of $194, of which $154 worth was recovered, was reported stolen from Target on the afternoon of Dec. 6.

• Two Sandy Springs men, ages 19 and 20, were arrested on the evening of Dec. 8 for allegedly trying to steal $34 worth of Polo underwear from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• An incident of shoplifting was reported at Ulta at Perimeter Mall on the morning of Dec. 8. Two women walked into the store and stole $1,967 in perfume from the store.

• A 40-year-old Dunwoody woman was arrested on the morning of Dec. 9 for allegedly trying to steal $38 in food and medicine from Target.

• A 17-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the afternoon of Dec. 9 for allegedly trying to steal socks, underwear and a hat worth a total of $80 from Marshalls, 1131 Hammond Dr.

• Three 17-year-old Marietta females were arrested on the evening of Dec. 9 for allegedly trying to steal $240.49 in clothing, earrings, a keychain and a Justin Bieber CD from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall. The three were charged with shoplifting.

• A 22-year-old Atlanta man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal a $7 hat from Marshall’s, 1131 Hammond Dr. on the night of Dec. 9.

• A 46-year-old Atlanta man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal jeans from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall on the night of Dec. 12. The stolen jeans were valued at $54.

• A purse, cash, checkbooks and a gold ring were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 2300 block of Mt. Vernon Road on the afternoon of Dec. 10. The stolen items were valued at $210.

• Shoplifting was reported at Urban Outfitters at the Perimeter Mall on the afternoon of Dec. 10. The stolen items, which included a leather jacket, t-shirt and scarf, were valued at $208.

• A 25-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the night of Dec. 8 for allegedly trying to steal $92.95 in clothing from Target.

 

Car Theft

• A green 1998 Audi A4 was reported stolen from near the intersection of 285 East and Ashford Dunwoody Road on the night of Dec. 8.

 

Vandalism

• Vandalism was reported on a retaining wall at Brook Run Park on the morning of Dec. 9.

 

Theft

• $475 worth of American Express gift cards were reported stolen from a mailbox on the 5100 block of Sheridan Lane on the morning of Dec. 9.

• A Garmin Forerunner GPS worth $170 was reported stolen from the mail on the 2500 block of East Madison Drive on the afternoon of Dec. 9.

• A Goodman air conditioning unit worth $1,000 was reported stolen from the Peachtree North Apartments, 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway, on the afternoon of Dec. 8.

• A DeVillbiss generator valued at $799 was reported stolen on the evening of Dec. 7 at the 2600 block of Riverglenn Circle.

 

Car break-ins

• A diamond bracelet valued at $26,000 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4400 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the afternoon of Dec. 7.

• An HP laptop worth $800 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1200 block of Hammond Drive on the afternoon of Dec. 9.

• $1,745 in items, including an iPod, a Dell laptop computer and Gucci sunglass, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5500 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road on the night of Dec. 9

• Gymnastics equipment, a child’s retainer and a Canon 20d camera with a telephoto lens were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4700 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the evening of Dec. 10. The stolen items were valued at $2,950.

• An Ouku car stereo worth $240 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Crown Pointe Parkway on the evening of Dec. 10.

• A Ruger P95 pistol, a Gucci knapsack, two Apple iPads and an AT&T hotspot were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1200 block of Ashford Crossing on the evening Dec. 10. The stolen items were valued at $2,900.

• An Apple MacBook worth $1,600 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Ravinia Drive on the evening of Dec. 6.

 

Assault

• A Dunwoody man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault on the afternoon of Dec. 4 on the 1000 block of Perimeter Trace.

 

Burglary

• An Insignia 26-inch flat screen television was reported stolen from a building on the 1500 block of Dunwoody Village Parkway on the morning of Dec. 8.

• A residence on the 1100 block of Ashford Parkway was reported burglarized on the night of Dec. 9. Thieves stole two laptop computers, a 32-inch Haier flat screen television and other items. The total value of the stolen items was $1,316.

• A residence on the 4400 block of Tilly Mill Road was reported burglarized on the night of Dec. 9. Three laptop computers and an Emerson 40-inch television were reported stolen. The items were valued, in total, at $4,000.

 

Snatching

• A sudden snatching was reported at the Perimeter Mall on the night of Dec. 5. A Hawasi Ascend phone worth $160 was reported stolen in the incident.

 

Assault

• A 44-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested on charges of simple assault on the evening of Dec. 8 on the 1800 block of Mt. Vernon Road.
