Dunwoody Police Blotter Aug. 21-27: Drug Arrest, Dog Poisoned

Drug arrests

• A 33-year-old Dunwoody woman was arrested for cocaine possession and synthetic drug possession on the afternoon of Aug. 24 on the 4600 block of Peachtree Place Parkway. She was allegedly caught with a bottle of hydrocodone, six M366 tablets, three Seroquel 200 tablets, seven m357 tablets and several clear plastic bags with white residue.

• A 21-year-old Decatur man, a 22-year-old Atlanta man and a 29-year-old Atlanta man were arrested on the afternoon of Aug. 22 when Dunwoody Police pulled them over for traffic violations and found marijuana, weapons and forged materials inside.

Dog reported poisoned

• A yellow lab/greyhound mix dog was reported poisoned to death on the night of Aug. 24 at the 2800 block of Burnham Court.

 

Bank Robbery

• Regions Bank, at 1457 Mount Vernon Road, was reported robbed with a handgun last Friday morning. Police are still .

 

Burglary

• Checks and a Macbook Pro were reported stolen from a residence on the 200 block of Asbury Commons on the morning of Aug. 22.

• A computer and a Toro lawnmower were reported stolen from a home on the 2400 block of Kingsland Drive on the night of Aug. 24.

• A pair of shoes worth $80 were reported stolen from a residence on the 3300 block of Asbury Square on the night of Aug. 25.

 

Car theft

• A black 1998 Honda Civic was reported stolen on the 300 block of Perimeter Center North on the morning of Aug. 21.

• A white 2011 Mercedes S550 was reported stolen from the 4800 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the morning of Aug. 27.

• A black 2007 Chevy Tahoe was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Crown Pointe Parkway on the morning of Aug. 27. The vehicle was valued at $20,000.

• A gold-colored 2000 Honda Civic was reported stolen from the 4800 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the morning of Aug. 23.

 

Shoplifting

• A 38-year-old Decatur woman was arrested for allegedly attempting to steal $393.66 in clothing from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall on the evening of Aug. 21.

• A 50-year-old Atlanta man was arrested for allegedly stealing $58.36 in books from Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pkwy. on the afternoon of Aug. 22.

• An Apple iPad worth $699 was reported stolen from a store on the 1300 block of Dunwoody Village Parkway on the afternoon of Aug. 22.

• A Blackberry phone was reported stolen from a business at the Perimeter Mall on the night of Aug. 22.

• A 45-year-old Stone Mountain woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a Brahmin purse worth $235 from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall on the evening of Aug. 23.

• Three Apple iPhones and two Blackberry Torches, worth a total of $2,945, were reported stolen from AT&T, 136 Perimeter Ctr. W. on the night of Aug. 25.

 

Car Break-in

• A 31-year-old Atlanta man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a vehicle in the early hours of Aug. 12. He fled the scene when police responded.  He was arrested on Aug. 22.

• A pair of glasses, Movda watch, diamond ring, black leather suitcase, a purse, cologne, clothing and a pair of sandals were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4700 block of Ashford Dunwoody on the afternoon of Aug. 23. The stolen items were valued at $4,000.

• Two HP calculators, two leather briefcases, two Apple iPads, a digital camera, checkbooks, a leather folder and a Blackberry Storm phone were reported stolen on the afternoon of Aug. 23 from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Perimeter Center Parkway. The stolen items were valued at $3,145.

• A 32-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested for allegedly stealing a Garmin GPS, a Taurus handgun and a holster from a vehicle parked on the 5000 block of Lakeside Drive on Aug. 12. The man was arrested on Aug. 24.

• An airport parking sticker worth $50 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4400 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the night of Aug. 24.

• A laptop bag, a Dell laptop, an IBM Lenovo laptop and a Netgear router were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Olde Perimeter Way on the night of Aug. 24.

• A nylon laptop bag, a Dell laptop and a credit card were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road in the early hours of Aug. 25.

• An Apple iPad 2, a Passport, a checkbook, a Social Security card and an Toshiba laptop were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Crown Pointe Parkway on the night of Aug. 25.

• A purse, credit cards and a passport were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1500 block of Mount Vernon Road last Friday afternoon.

 

Vandalism

• A yard was reported vandalized at the 4800 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the afternoon of Aug. 22. The damages were reported to be $200.

 

Theft

• A $500 Android cell phone was reported stolen from someone at Brook Run Park on the evening of Aug. 23.

• An Apple iPhone 4, credit cards and identification cards were reported stolen from a store at the Perimeter Mall on the afternoon of Aug. 27. The stolen items were valued at $420.

• A purse, $40 in cash, checks and credit cards were reported stolen at a business on the 5500 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road on the afternoon of Aug. 24.

 

Assault

• A 22-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested on the night of Aug. 22 on the 6800 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard on felony charges of aggravated assault.
