Why Go? Get creative with your friends in a bright, stylish candy kitchen. No matter what kind of gathering you're planning, the possibilities are endless—and so is the fun—at Chamberlain’s Chocolate Factory.

Insider Tip: Grab a bottle of wine for the party. You are welcome to provide your own refreshments to enjoy along with chocolate making. 

Must Do: Your experience will last up to two hours with some basic instruction and the materials to make fresh fruit dipped in chocolate, chocolate bark with your choice of toppings, hand rolled rich chocolate truffles and chocolate hand paintings.

The Fine Print: Both day time and night time parties are available. Day parties run from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., while night parties start at 5 p.m. or later. The cost is $300 for up to nine chocolatiers for evening parties and $200 for up to six participants at day parties.

Why Go? With an impressive list of more than 300 beers, the Atlanta Winter Beer Fest showcases an impressive array of brews from both sides of the Mississippi.

Insider Tip: The festival has become a two-day event in the interest of adding more beers, food and bands to the list of attractions. Consider whether you want a single-day pass or two-day ticket before you purchase your tickets.

Must Do: The event will feature more than 20 beers made right here in Georgia, so be sure to check out the local brews.

The Fine Print: The festival is open from 1-6 p.m. on both days. Two-day tickets cost $60 in advance or $70 after Jan. 16. Single-day tickets cost $35 in advance, $40 after Jan. 16 and $50 on the day of. The event is scheduled for the weekend of Jan. 25 & 26.

Wine 101: The Fundamentals of Wine Tasting

Why Go? Attendees will learn how to identify the key components of a wine, how to score a wine like the experts, the proper temperatures to serve wine, how to identify the style of a wine that is most appealing to their palate and much, much more.

Insider Tip: This event could be a great way to celebrate a special occasion, learn more about wine or just spend a day relaxing with someone you love. There are eight wines featured, each is said to be delicious.

Must Do: Limited seats are available for this two-hour seminar, so be sure to buy your tickets online as soon as possible.

The Fine Print: The cost of the seminar is $20 per person. It will be held in the classroom of the Total Wine & More store.

Insider Tip: Be sure to check out the weekly installments of the Cooking and Wine series. This two and a half hour program will teach you about wine pairings, wines to cook with and a whole lot more.

Must Do: Sushi lovers should take the Sushi 101 course, a class dedicated to teaching you how to make some of your favorite sushi dishes while you relax and sip on a glass of wine.

The Fine Print: The classes, tastings and pairings events generally run from $50-$79 and are mostly scheduled during weekday evenings. The Vino Venue is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to close.
