Last Chance: Composting Class

Dunwoody Nature Center to host class this weekend at Brook Run Park


It's getting time to stake the tomato plants, put some fertilizer in the garden and then let the summer days take over.

Before that happens, you might want to learn a little more about how to make your backyard garden thrive.

It's the last chance to sign up for Saturday's composting class hosted by the Dunwoody Nature Center. The class will be at the Dunwoody Community Garden in .

The session from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. will talk about backyard composting practices, and how to turn clippings and other yard waste into nutrient-rich soil you can use in your garden.

The class is $5, can be signed up for online, and also includes instruction on how to make sure your compost is organic.
