Grand Opening for Dunwoody UMC Christian Counseling Center Continues

Dunwoody United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new Counseling Center on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. The center, under the direction of Dr. Pete Hutchings, will be located at 5054 Nandina Lane, Suite B, Dunwoody, GA, 30338, and will serve clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Members of the church and community may make appointments by calling the Center or by requesting a referral from the Dunwoody UMC clergy staff. 

About The Counseling Center

The Dunwoody UMC Counseling Center is a Christian-based center offering individual counseling for depression, anxiety, grief, and substance abuse issues. Family and couples counseling, and group counseling, will also be offered.

Fees for services will be based on a sliding scale and discussed with each client during the first visit. Dr. Wiley Stephens, Senior Pastor of Dunwoody UMC, said, “This has long been a dream of mine for this church to offer such a ministry.” The goal of the Center, according to DUMC’s Board of Advisors, is to offer confidential counseling services at reasonable rates in a convenient location.
