Community Assistance Center Sends Out SOS for Food Pantry Donations

The food pantry receives more than 1,000 visits a month from families in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody seeking assistance.

The Community Assistance Center food pantry is in urgent need of food donations to provide to neighbors in need, an statement said.

The food pantry typically receives fewer donations in summer months but the shortage is worse this summer leaving the shelves bare.


The Pantry receives more than 1,000 visits a month from families in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody seeking assistance.

Most needed items include Rice, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Cereal, Canned Vegetables, Soup, Tomato Sauce and Canned Meats such as tuna and chicken. Please donate and bring food to the CAC at 1130 Hightower Trail, in Sandy Springs, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.,  or make financial donations online at www.oucac.org.
