Snark Free Day

Snippy, snappy, snide sarcasm or superiority -- snark by any other name is still snark. Free to dole out, costly in its effects on others. That witty zinger closing the staff meeting might translate into crabbing at the checkout clerk who then pays it forward in a dour dinner conversation or terse bedtime tuck-in for his or her child. You just never know how far it will go. "Surely not I," said the fly, until he watched this snarky YouTube video. Wow. Convicting. We've probably all done it at some point. Let's get over it, at least for a day, and see how a Snark Free Day changes us and those around us. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 is Snark Free Day. Commit to saying what you mean or saying nothing at all. Be kind, or kindly be quiet. Need help? Visit www.snarkfreeday.comor follow @jonathansnark on Twitter.
