Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (CRK) will hold a Rain Barrel Workshop Thursday, Oct. 18 at Dunwoody’s City Hall at 6pm.
Since 2009, CRK has been working with the Coca-Cola company to replenish drops in the metro Atlanta area through the use of rain barrels. Coke provides CRK with used 60-gallon syrup containers for use by homeowners to harvest rain water. The program workshop is devised to teach homeowner’s about water conservation, water wise gardening and rain barrel installation and harvesting.
The workshop usually requires a $40 registration fee, but this week’s class is FREE, and with it all participants get a rain barrel and an installation kit, a step-by-step installation demo, a viewing of our “Tapped Out” presentation, and a one-year CRK membership!
