Georgia Revenue Commissioner to Speak to Georgia Association of Business Brokers

Douglas J. MacGinnitie, Georgia’s State Revenue Commissioner, will speak to the Georgia Association of Business Brokers (GABB) at a breakfast and networking meeting.


The GABB is the state’s only professional organization and Multiple Listing Service dedicated to buying and selling businesses and franchises.


Mr. MacGinnitie is a former candidate for Georgia Secretary of State and also a former member of the Sandy Springs City Council. A native of Dunwoody, he co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer and a Director of Beecher Carlson, a commercial insurance brokerage firm headquartered in Atlanta.

He is the former General Counsel at Hobbs Group, and a former corporate attorney. He served as a law clerk for Judge Stanley F. Birch on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Dartmouth College, with a B.A. History, where he was also voted the Ivy League Soccer Player of the Year. Mr. MacGinnitie received his J.D. from Emory School of Law, where he was Woodruff Fellow.


Mr. MacGinnitie serves as a Board Member of the Truancy Intervention Project, a non-profit based in Atlanta, and St. Martin’s Episcopal School.
