Sneiderman Wants to Block Neuman from Testifying at Trial

Andrea Sneiderman, the Dunwoody widow whose husband was shot and killed outside a Dunwoody daycare in 2010, wants to block her former boss from testifying at her upcoming trial.

Sneiderman is charged with malice murder of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman. A jury last year found her former boss, Hemy Neuman, guilty, but mentally ill, of killing Rusty Sneiderman.

Prosecutors say Sneiderman had a romantic relationship with Neuman and manipulated him into killing her husband so that she could be with a man named Joseph Dell.

Sneiderman denies having a non-professional relationship with Neuman and having anything to do with her husband’s death.

Sneiderman’s lawyers say that if Neuman gets on the stand, he will likely exercise his Fifth Amendment rights, which they feel would prejudice the jury. Additionally, her lawyers want any statements Neuman made in his trial barred if he pleads the Fifth, according to a report from Headline News.

Her lawyers have requested that they be permitted to copy the hard drives of computers in the prosecutors’ possession because they could contain information that would be used at trial, and they want an expert reviewing the information.

All of these requests are to be addressed at Sneiderman’s pretrial hearing on Tuesday, June 18.

Sneiderman's trial begins July 29.
