Dead tree purists won't go near them.But for others, the thought of chopping down a tree to sit in your house for two weeks, dropping needles and dripping sap, just isn't palatable.
According to the National Christmas Tree Association, the number of real trees purchased in 2010 was 27 million, while fake trees were 8.2 million (note: you only need to buy an artificial tree once).
