Neuman Not Yet Added to Prosecution Witness List in Sneiderman Trial

Andrea Sneiderman's former boss and alleged lover will probably not appear on the witness stand during her upcoming trial.

The trial against Andrea Sneiderman begins in just 19 days and the prosecution has not yet added her former boss and alleged lover, Hemy Neuman, to its witness list.

Sneiderman, the Dunwoody widow whose husband was shot and killed outside a Dunwoody daycare in 2010, is charged with malice murder of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman. A jury last year found Neuman, guilty, but mentally ill, of killing Rusty Sneiderman.

Sneiderman's attorneys want to block Neuman from testifying at her upcoming trial. One of Neuman's attorneys said he has not been interviewed by prosecutors to become a potential witness, according to a report from 11 Alive.

A former district attorney, Ken Hodges, told 11Alive that Neuman's absence from the prosecution's witness list could damage their case, but that Neuman could be a star witness for the defense.

However, the defense requested in June that if Neuman gets on the stand, he'll likely plead the Fifth Amendment, which would prejudice the jury.

Sneiderman's trial begins July 29.
