Murder Charges Will Officially Be Dropped for Sneiderman

Prosecutors will definitely be dropping murder charges against Andrea Sneiderman, the Dunwoody woman currently facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman.

The prosecutors will likely announce the decision to drop the charges of felony murder, malice murder and aggravated assault during a pretrial hearing on Friday, according to a report from 11Alive.

The original purpose of Friday's hearing was about the admissibility of hearsay evidence against Sneiderman, who will face those charges next week. The other 13 charges against Sneiderman include four counts of perjury, seven counts of making false statements and a count of hindering the apprehension of a criminal and concealment of material fact.

The gunman and Andrea Sneiderman's former boss, Hemy Neuman, is now serving a life sentence for shooting Rusty Sneiderman outside a Dunwoody daycare in 2010.

Prosecutors allege that Sneiderman was having an affair with Neuman, which Sneiderman has denied, along with all murder charges against her.

Prosecutors will still have the opportunity to try Sneiderman for murder if more evidence emerges.

The trial is set to begin on July 29.
