I-285 and Ashford Dunwoody: upcoming improvements will result in a lane closure

"Slip lane" of I-285 eastbound off-ramp from I-285 onto Lake Hearn Drive will close on March 6

The construction of the "diverging-diamond" interchange at Ashford Dunwoody Road and I-285 will lead to a lane closure that starts March 6.

All eastbound off-ramp lanes at the interchange will remain open throughout the construction project. The only exception is the far right "slip lane" of the eastbound off-ramp from I-285 directly to Lake Hearn Drive.

That lane will close beginning March 6 for several months. During this phase of construction, Lake Hearn Drive traffic will be required to proceed to Ashford Dunwoody Road and turn immediately to the right to enter Lake Hearn Drive as an alternative route.

Removal of existing sidewalks on the Ashford Dunwoody Road Bridge is currently underway. All pedestrians will need to use the sidewalk on the west side of the bridge, which is the same side as Perimeter Mall, until the current reconfiguration is complete and temporary sidewalks are installed.
