Five Things to Do This Weekend (March 4-6)

Wildcats track and field, baseball and gymnastics, along with Art, musicals and movies

 1. Listen to artists discuss their work at the ALIGN exhibit at the Spruill Gallery. Seven artists will discuss their work at the gallery. The ALIGN exhibit explores the use, meaning and spatial boundaries of the line.

 2. Cheer on Dunwoody High School teams. Saturday, the Wildcat Track Team heads to for the Racing the Comets track meet. The high school is at 2288 E. Main St., Snellville. It begins at 8 a.m. Closer to home, the Dunwoody Wildcats Baseball Team takes on Marietta at 1 p.m. at.

 3. Have girls who are interested in gymnastics? The Dunwoody High School Gymnastics Team is holding a gymnastics camp from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday (and again on March 12) at the high school. Girls will practice with the team on floor, beam bars and vault, and will perform a routine at the end of the session.

The camp is for 5 to 14 year olds, and no experience is required. The cost is $30 for one session and $50 for both. The event is a fundraiser for the team. The cost will includes the session, a Wildcats gymnastics t-shirt, snacks and craft. You can register early or at the door.

 4. Watch a movie and meet the stars and producers of it. The is screening the yet-to-be released film, ‘The Fat Boy Chronicles,’ which explores issues of bullying, peer pressure and other social issues teenagers face. The event will include a question and answer session after the movie with the producers and stars of the film.

The event is free and open to all, and will go from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. For more information, call 770-542-1690.

 5. Watch the musical ‘Dear Edwina Jr.’ at the Davis Academy, 7901 Roberts Dr. More than 200 children are in the cast of the musical, which will be playing this Sunday at 6 p.m. and again on March 13. You can buy tickets here. Find .
