TRRU Event Management Welcomes Dunwoody Resident as Production Manager
Atlanta, GA (May 8, 2014) – Atlanta based TRRU Event Management is pleased to announce the newest addition to its team, Wendy Thomas. She will handle production management duties for the company, which just celebrated its 20-year anniversary. Thomas is tasked with working with existing TRRU clients as well as development within the area of new client acquisition. In this facet, she will work directly with TRRU President & CEO Rebekah Jones.
“We are excited to have Wendy join our team,” said Jones. “With her knowledge and experience in the festival and events industry, she is sure to be an asset and bring a fresh perspective to the company.”
Thomas graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Science in Sports Management. She has more than 10 years of experience in Event Production and Event Management.

A native of Illinois, Thomas traded in the cornfields of the Midwest for the sandy beaches of the South when she joined the staff of the Gator Bowl Association in Jacksonville, Florida as Ticket Manager in 2003. From that position, she advanced to Assistant to the Director of the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship before relocating to the Atlanta area as the Stone Mountain Park Special Events Manager. At Stone Mountain Park, Thomas organized more than 30 outdoor festivals and events each year.

Prior to joining TRRU, Thomas was the Executive Director of the Atlanta-based Southeast Festivals & Events Association (SFEA). In this role, she expanded the Association’s outreach within the Southeast via monthly seminars, socials and behind-the-scenes tours of various festivals.
Currently, Thomas serves on the Board of Trustees for the Southeast Tourism Society’s Annual Marketing College and is a Share it Forward Coordinator for Herschend Family Entertainment. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with the Atlanta Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and attending football games as a supportive fan in the stands.
