Lawyers Battle on Stage at Fifth Annual LawJam

Proceeds Will Support Atlanta Youth Programs and Pro Bono Legal Services

 

ATLANTA (May 28, 2014) – Atlanta lawyers’ bands will play and sing to win their case in the court of public opinion on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Variety Playhouse. Sponsored by the Atlanta Bar Foundation, the Fifth Annual Battle of the Atlanta Lawyers’ Bands will feature seven talented bands competing in front of a packed house.  Last year’s event entertained an audience of more than 850 music lovers and raised nearly $40,000. The previous four events combined have raised more than $125,000.

Each LawJam band will play a 20-minute set and compete for the coveted First Place and Best Original Song awards.  A panel of three celebrity judges, including popular radio host, Kaedy Kiely of 97.1 FM – The River, entertainment lawyer Lisa Moore of The Moore Firm, and well-known guitarist Vic Valmus of Moore, Ingram, Johnson & Steele, LLP, will provide 50 percent of the scores and audience votes will provide the other 50 percent.

The seven competing bands are Buck O’Five; Class Action; Comrade Blue; Nonbillable Hours; R&B, Inc.; Silent & Listen; and The Psychics.
