Wendy's Moving Headquarters from the Perimeter to Ohio

AJC reports headquarters will move to Dublin, Ohio

Wendy's Co. is leaving the Dunwoody/Perimeter area.

The company is moving its corporate headquarters to Dublin, Ohio, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The company, which was known as the Wendy's/Arby's Group until its recent sale of Arby's, has been headquartered at 1155 Perimeter Center West (the Arby's sign can be seen from the east).

The company has been headquartered there since 2008.

That's a real shame. See, with a conservative Republican governor and legislature, even Rust Belt states can attract businesses to move there. But we have the same thing here. and a better climate, better roads, and a far prettier state. Why on earth then are they going to Ohio?

Michael, Ohio is a "far prettier" state than people (who don't know it well) give it credit for, not to mention the down-to-earth wonderful nature of Midwesterners. Wendy's founder, after all, was an Ohio native. But the one point I can't argue is the winter weather...

The Atlanta nascar race moved to the Cincinnati area at Kentucky Speedway, the NHL team moved to Canada, and now a fortune 500 company is leaving for Columbus. Geogia is dying a painful death. I can't blame them for moving to Ohio though, that's where I moved too, and there are more cultural events and attractions in Ohio that Georgia can't compete with. Ohio alone has six major hall of fames from the Rock n roll, pro football, national inventors, motorcycle, aviation, and the American Classical Music, that's amazing, and that's not including all the other museums, etc. Then there's Cedar Point And Kings Island which are far superior to the Six Flags if it's still open. I don't think Georgia can compete with anything Ohio has except nascar races, and then Georgia lost the nascar hall of fame to Charlotte! Ohio also has four new casinos under construction! The last one out of Georgia turn off the light please, I already moved, I'll be fishing on Lake Erie!
