Panera Bread Hosts Successful Fundraiser

Fourteen kids now have the means to got to Camp Twin Lakes, a camp for kids with disabilities.

In mid-July, Panera Bread locations in metro Atlanta joined together to host lemonade stands and raise money, The one in Dunwoody was hopping, according to supporters.

The stands raised more than $11,000 for Camp Twin Lakes. The proceeds will sponsor 14 children facing serious disabilities at the camp - a life-changing week-long activity, say supporters.

The facilities are in Rutlege, Winder and Warm Springs, Ga.Β 

"Your donation helped make a difference in the lives of children facing various diagnoses and challenges by giving them the opportunity to just be a kid at Camp Twin Lakes," Eric Robinns said. Robbins is executive director of the camp.

More than 9,000 children go to Camp Twin Lakes through community support. Camp Twin Lakes subsidizes 80 percent of the costs, it should be noted. But community donations put the cosyts within reach.
