Old Hickory House Passes Health Reinspection

The restaurant passed two reinspections following a failing grade in September.

The popular Dunwoody restaurant Old Hickory House scored an "A" onΒ  DeKalb County reinspections of the restaurant, which followed a failed inspection Sept 19.

The violations were cleared up on two inspections on Sept. 25 and Oct. 1. The restaurant scored a 100 on the Sept. 25 inspection and a 92 on an Oct. 1 visit, according to DeKalb County Health records.

On the Oct. 1 follow-up inspection, the restaurant - located on 5490 Chamblee Dunwoody Road -Β  scored a 92. The only violation found by inspectors that day were that utensils and linens were not properly stored and dried on the reinspection, according to the health inspection report.

The restaurant received a "U" and a score of 63 in September based on a number of violations.

Food was not separated and proceed properly, food contract surfaces were not deemed to have been cleaned and sanitized, proper cold holding temperatures were not followed and proper cooling times were an issue, among other issues.

A resturant that fails inspection has 10 days to pass a follow up inspection before further measures are taken.
