O'Brian's Tavern: An English-Style Pub Worth Raising a Glass For

The company was relaxed, the service was excellent, and the bar's theme has that expensive, rich feel of an upscale English Pub - with its tartan theme and a lot of heart.

It's pretty extensive and in it we ask for your opinions about the new, classically decorated, and the easy, comfortable setting of the restaurant.

Here's the link that's a pretty good overview. But we recently hung out there and wanted to bring you some photos and first-hand opinions of the pub.

Onto the menu, which is not yet completed online. But, they have a grilled cheese and lobster sandwich, so you get the idea that this is upscale fare.

I can tell you a little more more about the beer menu - the draft brew selections are extensive - and the helpful wait staff can guide you to what you have a taste for.

Impressively True Black and Tans (Guiness over Bass) can be found, as well as Boddington's Ale and, of course, Jameson's Whiskey - good for Catholics and Protestants alike, in my opinoin.

But the debate rages about that whiskey, of course. Something to do with Catholics and Protestants. I'm sure it will all be resolved soon.
