Law Enforcement Job Fair to Include Several Metro Atlanta Agencies

There will also be a health fair at the Aug. 3 event taking place at Lakewood Stadium.

People interested in a career with law enforcement can find out more about jobs at various metro Atlanta departments at a multi-police agency job and health fair this Saturday, Aug. 3, from 12-4 p.m., Lakewood Stadium.

At the job fair, “The agencies will display information and provide demonstrations on various units such as their K-9 and special tactical forces squads.  Applications and resumes will be accepted,” according to the DeKalb sheriff’s office said in a press release. 

During a press conference on Wednesday, July 31, DeKalb county Sheriff Thomas Brown, along will police and sheriff’s agencies from Clayton, Gwinnett, Rockdale, Fulton and Henry counties will discuss details such as number of job vacancies.

At the health fair, the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department will conduct free screenings for blood pressure, glucose levels and other “potentially harmful ailments” the release sates.

The day’s events will end with a flag football championship, starting at 4:15 p.m.  played by the Metro Atlanta Public Safety Flag Football League.  The league, plays each year to raise money for the Golden Shield Foundation of Metro Atlanta, which assists families of law enforcement officers and firemen killed in the line of duty.
