Labor Department Holding Job Fair for Veterans

Nearby Dunwoody: The expo will feature about 25 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers.

The Veterans Unit at the Georgia Department of Labor’s DeKalb Career Center and Goodwill of North Georgia’s Decatur Career Center will assist Mount Welcome Missionary Baptist Church with a career expo Thursday, Sept. 26.

The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, located at 581 Parker Ave. in Decatur. While the event is open to the public, its focus is to assist military veterans with their employment needs.

The expo will feature about 25 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. The employers will be hiring or discussing current and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide education and other resources.

  • Goodwill of North Georgia-Human Resources

Applicants should bring plenty of résumés and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available jobs. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.
