Black Friday: Local Guide to Store Hours

Have you heard the buzz about stores getting a head start on Black Friday deals by opening on Thanksgiving night or right at Midnight? Here’s your local guide to when stores are opening to help you plan your holiday shopping spree.

For details on specific store deals, please visit their websites or look for their circulars in Wednesday and Thursday's newspapers. Many stores are not releasing their deals until Wednesday.

Open on Thanksgiving Day

Gobblepalooza is Old Navy’s three-day event running from Thursday to Saturday. Want to shop on Thanksgiving? Old Navy will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Use this printable coupon for $10 off $50 good on Thursday only. The store will open with Black Friday deals at Midnight on Friday.

Open on Thanksgiving Day with special 1-day Thursday deals from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Big Lots will also have Black Friday deals when they open on Friday at 6 a.m. When you spend $50 on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, you’ll receive a $10 off coupon good toward your next purchase from November 27 to December 10.

Open on Thanksgiving Night

 Leading the charge in opening early, Walmart will be open at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day with deals on toys, home items and clothing. Electronics deals will start at midnight and other deals will begin at 8 a.m. on Black Friday. Note: Walmart’s Christmas Price Guarantee is not valid for competitor’s Black Friday Day after Thanksgiving deals.

Both the Buckhead and Cobb Parkway Toys R Us locations open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Open at Midnight on Black Friday

Open Friday at Midnight, Target's Black Friday 2 Day Sale deals are available from through Saturday, or until supplies last. Note: Target will price-match items within seven days of purchase. Customers are asked to bring in their receipts and competitors' advertisements to receive a price adjustment.

Notorious for people lining up early, Best Buy is opening at Midnight this year. Note: Best Buy has extended their return policy. Most purchases from now until Christmas Eve can be returned until January 24 without restocking fees.

Though the below stores are opening earlier, the mall as a whole will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday. If you spend $150 Friday morning and bring your receipts to the Merrier Shopping Redemption Zone in Center Court, you’ll receive a $20 Shop Etc. gift card. The deal is redeemable Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Both the main store and Macy’s Furniture Showroom will open at Midnight on Friday.
• After opening at Midnight, Gap stores will be rewarding early shoppers with special deals available until Noon.
• Opens at Midnight with 40% off the entire store until 1 p.m.

With heavy tv ads, the Kohl's East Cobb and Roswell locations are opening at Midnight.
