Alon's, Farm Burger-Morelli's Ice Cream Named in Atlanta Mag's 'Best Of' Contest

Dunwoody's eateries received a couple of mentions in Atlanta magazine's 'Best Of' Atlanta edition.The edition hasn't been released on-line yet, but Patch took a look at the paid, digital edition.

• The "dining deal" named by the magazine was a local favorite, Alon's Bakery. Specifically, they named the pizza night on Mondays that was launched in the spring at the bakery/deli/wine bar. "Alon Balshan unveiled a handsome woodburning pizza oven ... Cooks soon began churning out blistered, puffy lipped, individual sized pies.
• The "neighborhood gem" was Farm Burger and Morrelli's Ice Cream, which opened in the fall at the Kroger Shopping Center in Georgetown. "Unlike its locations in Decatur and Buckhead, Farm Burgers first OTP branch let's you snarf down a burger ... and follow it with ice cream from Morelli's."
