Villa Christina to Celebrate 10th Year of Jazz Series

The Dunwoody event kicks off on Father's Day. It's free and offers lawn seating (bring chairs or blankets), seating in the restaurant and activities for kids.

The Summer Jazz Series at Villa Christina restaurant marks its 10th season beginning on Father’s Day, June 16.

Over the years, the jazz concerts have featured the likes of Sonny Emory, Ken Ford and Joey Somerville.

The popular music series opens this year with jazz vocalist Robin Lattimore. Known for her large dramatic voice, Lattimore has performed across the globe with a bevy of talented artists including Ronnie Laws, Rachelle Ferrell, Maysa, Jonathan Butler, Phil Perry and Jeff Lorber.

The event is free and offers lawn seating (bring chairs or blankets), seating in the restaurant and activities for kids. The menu options include sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, fries, pizza, nachos, desserts and ice-cold beverages.

In between sets, vendors showcase art, jewelry, clothing, purses and more. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. and festivities wrap up at 8:00 p.m.

Villa Christina is located just inside the perimeter. The main dining room overlooks the sprawling grounds, exquisite terrace and majestic waterfalls. Construction is under way on the grounds for what will become the Perimeter area's first full-service hotel to be built in 20 years. The 173-room, 10-floor Hyatt Hotel at Villa Christina is being built adjacent to the restaurant in Perimeter Summit and is scheduled for a March 2014 opening.
