  • Splash Into Shabbat

Friday, Feb. 8, 5-7 p.m.
MJCCA at Zaban Park – Indoor Pool - 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338

Children will play pool games, watch a demonstration, learn new skills and enjoy free swim time. Rabbi Glusman will lead Shabbat songs and blessings on Main Street beginning at 5:00 pm. Challah and grape juice will be served. Children of all ages are welcome! Families are invited to bring dairy and/or vegetarian picnics and eat inside the MJCCA. Children under 5 must be accompanied in the pool by an adult.

  • Havdalah for the Sole at “Treat Your Feet”

Saturday, Feb. 9, 7 - 8:15 p.m.
Treat Your Feet - 5938 Buford Highway Northeast #103, Doraville, GA 30340

All are invited to join the MJCCA and the Total Health Fitness Department for an evening of foot massage, fun, and friends at Treat Your Feet on Buford Highway. The one-hour luxurious foot massage will focus on specific reflex points which naturally improve circulation and reduce body tension. The program will begin with a short Havdalah (conclusion of Shabbat) ceremony. Limited space. Open to the community.

When your child's school is out – MJCCA’s “School’s Out Camp” is in! We offer a varied program filled with exciting, engaging, and safe activities for children during school holidays and teacher work days. Campers enjoy a non-stop day complete with stimulating activities like cooking, swimming, sports, arts & crafts, ropes course, and more. MJCCA Day Camps organize these fabulous programs for the days your child's school is closed.

  • Atlanta Hawks Presidents Day Basketball Clinic (Grades 1 – 8)

Monday, Feb. 18, Schools Out Programs

With basketball season well underway, this is a perfect opportunity for an additional workout. The Atlanta Hawks will be here to provide campers with professional coaching and advice. We’ll offer a mix of technical drills and skills, working on dribbling, passing, jump shots, free throws, offence, and defense. Together with games, scrimmages and a tournament we ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to practice and improve.

Participants will need to bring a packed lunch and appropriate basketball attire.

  • Purim on Piedmont (Young Adults – Ages 21-35)

A Purim celebration for young adults (ages 21 – 35.) The Gold Room is one of the newest nightclubs on the Atlanta scene. From 9:00 – 10:30 pm, all drinks are FREE! Enjoy hamantaschen, dancing, door prizes, and more.

PurimPALOOZA Costume Parade and Magic Show
Sunday, February 24, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

All are invited to join us for an amazing Purim program at the MJCCA. Crafts and activities for children begin at 10:00 am, followed by a Purim costume parade on Main Street, the main corridor at the center of the MJCCA. At 11:00 am, all are invited to the Morris & Rae Frank Theatre for Purim songs and a spectacular magic show featuring “Howie the Great.” This event is sponsored by MJCCA Preschools, Shalom Baby, and Camp Sunday.

As part of PurimPALOOZA, we are pleased to bring you the book launch for The Purim Superhero by Elizabeth Kushner, the first LGBT-inclusive, Jewish children's book in English. Sponsored by The Rainbow Center and the Anti-Defamation League. Activities and storytelling will be in the Fine Family Gallery.

  • Jerry’s Habima Theater presents Grease: The School Version

March 7 – 17

Jerry’s Habima Theatre, Georgia’s only theatrical company directed and produced by professionals, featuring actors with developmental disabilities, will celebrate its 20th anniversary season with the 50’s-style musical Grease: The School Version. Jerry’s Habima Theatre, recently featured in American Theatre Magazine, was the 2007 recipient of the Spirit of Suzi Bass Award for its long-term and consistent contribution to professionalism in Atlanta theater.  All productions are held at the MJCCA’s beautiful Morris & Rae Frank Theatre, 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody.
