North Atlanta Sports Collectibles Show

Come meet Earl "Big Cat" Lloyd, the first African American to play in the NBA.   Mr. Lloyd made his historic debut on October 31, 1950 and enjoyed a solid nine year pro career with the Washington Capitals, Syracuse Nationals and Detroit Pistons.  He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003. 

Lloyd, now 84 years young, will be signing photos and copies of his autobiography, "Moonfixer: The Basketball Journey of Earl Lloyd," answering questions about his experiences as a basketball pioneer and sharing thoughts on the NBA's current state of affairs from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  

The sports collectibles show also features knowledgeable vendors with 30 tables of vintage, tobacco era, newer issues and high end trading cards; memorabilia; personality and sports autographs; hobby supplies & more.  Drawings throughout the day for show gift certificates as well!
