Jeannie Caryn - Live at Lemonade Days

The Dunwoody Preservation Trust adds free, live music to its annual Lemonade Days festivities. Singer-songwriter Jeannie Caryn starts things off Friday night.  Caryn found her way to her guitar as a means of escape.  Raised in "Sin City," Las Vegas, Nevada, she longed for something other than gambling, neon or plastic to which she could surrender her soul:  "Something that would not implode like old buildings on the Strip," she says.  The guitar entered her life as a gift from her grandmother and she learned early that music was a catharsis for handling and understanding emotions like love, loss and angst.  Stick around after her moving performance to hear The Mix at 8pm, or to sample some carnival rides and food.
