Lunch 'n' Learn on May 2

This Lunch n' Learn series, presented by the MJCCA, features local congregational rabbis discussing various topics including the weekly Torah portion, current events, Israel, Jewish customs and ceremonies, Jewish holidays, and more. The May Lunch n' Learn will be led by Rabbi Hayyim Kassorla (Sephardic) from Congregation Or VeShalom. Rabbi Kassorla will be discussing the topic: Post Biblical Holidays.

Lunch n' Learn discussions are free and open to all. Participants may bring a dairy lunch or purchase a kosher lunch from Goodfriend’s Grill. The event begins at noon at the MJCCA.

Seussical on May 5

Company J at the MJCCA continues its season of theater classics with the musical, Seussical, running May 5 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Geared specifically to younger audiences, this one-act version of Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! You’ll see all your favorite Dr. Seuss friends including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination named Jo-Jo. Seussical productions take place at the MJCCA's Morris and Rae Frank Theatre, 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody. Harris Jacobs Dream Run Celebrates 20th Anniversary on May 5

The MJCCA will hold the 20th annual Harris Jacobs Dream Run (HJDR) on Sunday, May 5 at the MJCCA’s Zaban Park campus (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody, 30338) at 7 a.m. This year’s race features a new AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier that allows runners to use their time to qualify for a start wave in the 2014 Road Race. The race also includes chip-timing, packet pick-up prior to race day, and post-race massages. Click here for information and downloadable forms or call 678.812.4025.
