Visions for Vacancies: Dunwoody Village

What would you like to see built at the old gas station near Dunwoody Hall

Dunwoody Patch is launching a new feature that’s a bit of a modern spin on community planning – a digital forum where we welcome your views about the best use for vacant properties in our community.

Each week we’ll present a new vacant building and ask for readers to think and comment on what they would like to see develop there.

Don’t worry about what zone it’s in, ignore things like setback regulations and all the other zoning stuff the city has to deal with. If you had your say, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

This week, which is the third in the series, we present the the property at 5546 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, directly adjacent to Dunwoody Hall – a shopping center anchored by the Publix grocery store.

It’s near the intersection of Chamblee Dunwoody and Mount Vernon roads in a high-traffic area in Dunwoody Village. It’s also a bit of an eyesore.
