Popular Eatery to Open in Dunwoody this Summer

Marlow's Tavern will add its ninth location to the local chain.

A well-known eatery in the Atlanta area will open up shop in Dunwoody midsummer.

Marlow's Tavern, known for its upscale tavern fare and cocktails, is set to open July 31 at 1319 Dunwoody Village Parkway, according to executive chef and co-founder John Metz Jr.

β€œThe great neighborhood and flourishing business community are the perfect match for Marlow’s 'hospitality first' mentality and fresh-ingredient-focused cuisine and cocktails,” he said.

The tavern's menu offers classics like burgers and sandwiches and also changes things up. Newly added items to the menu include grilled turkey meatloaf and Ahi tuna poke.

The bar will serve wine, hand-crafted cocktails, and a simple, varied list of beers, like local favorites Sweetwater 420 and Terrapin Rye Pale Ale.

Metz has some well-known, well regarded restaurants on his resume. After culinary school, he worked in New York's The 21 Club, Tribeca Grill and Montrachet.

Marlow's Tavern started in 2004 in Alpharetta and has spread to Cumming, and other locations. Dunwoody will be the ninth location.
